Summary
The Bartender is responsible for serving our guests at our bar, checking ID's and monitoring the cash drawer. They will make drinks, suggestively up-sell food items or higher end liquor, and promote drink/beer specials. They are also responsible for accurate pouring of alcohol into drinks and serving guests with a exceptional level of service.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use sales techniques to increase revenues from alcohol and upselling concession items at the bar.
  • Prepare alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
  • Control inventory for alcohol and bar supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar.
  • Stock alcohol and bar supplies.
  • Improve bar menu and drink recipes.
  • Prepare drink garnishes.
  • Monitor guests for safe alcohol consumption and limit problems and liability.
  • Verify legal age requirements by checking each guest ID.
  • Complete bar orders with cash and credit card transactions.
  • Balance cash receipts at the end of each shift.
  • Run cash reports.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  1. Bartender functions are efficiently, accurately, and effectively performed in accordance with established policies and standards.
  2. Monies are balanced and any discrepancies promptly resolved. A balancing record that meets established standards is maintained. 
  3. Good relations exist with guests. Guest problems or questions are courteously and promptly resolved.
  4. Good working relationships and coordination exist with other team members and management.
  5. Company sales goals are consistently met and promotions are supported.

Basic computer skills.
